Civic Event Fund
Funding is provided for one-time-only cultural and promotional events and celebrations with the potential
for substantial city-wide impact. The Golden Gate Bridge 50th Anniversary Celebration, the National
Conference of Mayors, Herb Caen Day, the UN 50th Anniversary Celebration, and the re-dedication of
the restored San Francisco Opera House are examples of eligible activities. Funding is generally earmarked
for subsidy of publicity costs and/or fees for participating artists. Call GFTA office for details.
